Single Digit Multiplication

How Many Pairs to Memorize?

Half are the same. Read them as the result.

Complement Pairs

9*8 = (10-1)(10-2) = 100 -30 + 2 So add complements to get tens digit and multiply. Give a box demonstration of it.

Evens

If one of the factors is even, one can use smaller numbers to multiply and then double the digits. So 68 can be seen as 2 (38) = 2 24 = 48.

Memorize Them

Those tricks useful to learn to memorize.
